Stick A Fork In It: This Knight Ride Is Over Despite NBC not making a formal announcement about the end of Knight Rider, it appears the series is done for.
Actors like Paul Campbell have signed on for new projects, but perhaps the most telling "hint" is that Knight Rider is no longer listed as one of the network's series on NBC's press site.
Also, even though NBC Universal owns Knight Rider outright, it is kind of questionable that they would renew Knight Rider - a series that had its first season order cut by several episodes - yet they seem to be waffling on critical favorite and consistent ratings performer Chuck. So far, there has been a lot of talk and focus on the renewals of Chuck, Medium, and My Name Is Earl... with very little buzz about Knight Rider either way, presumably because most consider it to already be over.
If this is completely mistaken, there will be a huge retraction posted on this page... but it is the believe of the webmaster here at KITTsite that this ride is over. Thanks to those of you who came by the site and posted on the forum over these months. This site will still exist archivally and will probably post actor/crew updates from time to time. And who knows? Maybe someone else will give Knight Rider another try someday, for a series that would hopefully be truer to the "one man can make a difference" concept than the early episodes of Knight Rider 2008 were.

A Sign It's Over? Paul Campbell Signs On For No Heroics In TV pilot casting news today it was revealed that Paul Campbell (Billy Morgan) has signed on as the lead of ABC's new sitcom No Heroics. According to Variety, No Heroics "revolves around four B-list superheroes living among the general population." Paul will play the leader of the group, a Canadian-born superhero who can freeze small objects.
No formal announcement has come yet from NBC confirming Knight Rider's cancellation, though Campbell's signing on for something new could be a strong hint.

Knight Rider Cancellation Likely TV Guide has revealed that their sources tell them that a second season of Knight
Rider is not happening, although "an NBC rep had had no comment on KITT's rumored garaging."
NBC will have considerably fewer time slots available in Fall 2009; this plus falling ratings could have factored in to their decision.
Peter Cullen To Return As KARR; Major Character Death Revealed NBC has released their official description for the January 21, 2009 episode of Knight
Rider. Not only does it include some long-awaited KARR action; it also spoils a major upcoming character death!
NBC Trims Their Knight Rider Order Remember the news about the 22-episode full first season of Knight Rider?
Forget we said anything.
Perhaps due to the ratings drop since that order was made, NBC has now announced that the first season of KR will conclude on February 26, 2009 with the series' 17th episode. That episode is said to be written and directed by KR showrunner Gary Scott Thompson.
This does not bode well for Knight Rider's future, unless a good amount of people tune back in when the series returns with new episodes on December 31st.
Cast Shake-Up Coming Three regular cast members will be departing as NBC preps the episodes beyond the latter half of the first season of Knight
Rider.
The Hollywood Reporter has revealed who is leaving and staying, with some quotes from Gary Scott Thompson.
"Knight Of The Zodiac" Official Description! NBC has released their official description for "Knight of the Zodiac," a November-airing episode of Knight

Updated: NBC Gives Knight Rider A Full Season Order The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that NBC has ordered nine more Knight Rider episodes, giving the show a full first season with [hopefully] many to come in future years.
Maybe eventually they'll even start airing the episodes in the proper production order!
Congratulations to the Knight Rider cast and crew for a job well done. And to those of you who work on the show who still may be reading - we're going to see Hasselhoff or Patricia McPherson in these extra 9, right?
UPDATE: NBC has issued a press release confirming the full-season order. You can find that HERE.
